Directed by Ari Folman

Starring Robin Wright, Harvey Keitel, and Jon Hamm

Synopsis: Ari Folman, the director of the Oscar-nominated “Waltz with Bashir,” returns with a live-action/animation hybrid inspired by the book by Polish author Stanislaw Lem. An aging actress named Robin Wright (played, coincidentally, by Robin Wright) allows a digital likeness of herself to be created so that she can continue her career without worrying about the ravages of time, an agreement that is thrown into question years later when her electronic alter-ego becomes a superstar.

What the Critics Are Saying:

“A hugely ambitious film reminiscent of The Matrix and the works of Terry Gilliam while also carving out its own apocalyptic sci-fi space.”
–MaryAnn Johanson, Flick Filosopher

“Ari Folman takes a determined stride into the past with this dizzying, disjointed, always fascinating live action-animation hybrid.”
–Tom Huddleston, Time Out
